Spanish Winter Championship confirms its 2026 calendar

21 November 2025 by

The Spanish Winter Championship keeps building momentum for its second edition in 2026, confirming a three-round calendar between February and March, each event featuring three races per series.

Launched last year to provide valuable winter mileage for teams and drivers from both the F4 Spanish Championship and Eurocup-3, the series now takes another step forward by unveiling its 2026 schedule. Once again, the E4 and E3 classes will share the programme under the support of the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation (RFEDA).

The season will kick off at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve on 20–22 February, before moving to Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE on 27 February – 1 March. The decisive final round will take place at MotorLand Aragón on 13–15 March.

Each event will follow the following structure:

  • 1 Official Previous Test (60 minutes)
  • 2 Free Practice sessions (30 minutes each)
  • 2 Qualifying sessions (20 minutes each)
  • 3 races:
    • Race 1 – 30 minutes + 1 lap, based on Q1 results
    • Race 2 – 20 minutes + 1 lap, with a Top-12 Reverse Grid from Q1
    • Race 3 – 30 minutes + 1 lap, based on Q2 results

Pole positions award 2 points, and each race grants 1 point for the fastest lap, ensuring competitive running in every session of the weekend.

“The launch of the Spanish Winter Championship has been an important milestone for our ecosystem. The interest from teams and drivers, both national and international, confirms the value of providing meaningful winter track time,” said Marco Rodríguez, General Manager of the Spanish Winter Championship. “With the 2026 calendar now set, we are confident the series will continue to strengthen the development path for young talent stepping into single-seaters.”
